Our Story

Enhance Hawaiʻi is the next evolution of the Oʻahu aesthetics clinic known as About Face Kailua, which was founded by Dr. Dale Bartolome.

Dr. Dale’s long and successful career lead her to found About Face Kailua on the Windward Side. The clinic became a place where she helped both men and women feel more confident and comfortable in their own skin through treatments like laser therapy, skin rejuvenation, body contouring, and dermal fillers, all with a warm, personalized approach.

Enhance Hawaiʻi is the next chapter of this journey, enhancing About Face Kailua’s popular lineup of services to bring new options to Hawaiʻi.

Jamy Azevedo, RN, BSN
Jamy started in the aesthetic field in 2001, working in dermatology, oculoplastics and cosmetic tattooing. Her interests include traveling, reading, cooking and attending workshops and conferences related to Medical Aesthetics.

Dr. Dale Bartolome
Dr. Dale her internship and residency in St. Louis, Missouri. From there, Dr. Bartolome headed to Washington state, where she spent over 30 years doing what she loves most, caring for kids as a pediatrician at Kaiser Permanente. Eventually she returned to Hawaiʻi to start a new chapter in aesthetics at her Windward Side clinic.

Dr. LeighAnn Frattarelli
Dr. LeighAnn has over 25 years of experience in women’s health and has a particular interest in helping women in mid-life take control of their lives. Her goal is to empower women to make educated decisions about their health and their quality of life, and is excited to provide care to the menopausal and perimenopausal women of Hawaiʻi

Makani Kela, Receptionist
Makani is extremely passionate about connecting with clients and providing help and assistance during in-office visits. She strives to provide an effortless and smooth experience in scheduling appointments, and any inquiry clients might have.

Dr. Melissa Lawrence
Dr. Melissa Lawrence recently retired from Kaiser Permanente as a board certified OBGYN, and has found a new passion, in longevity medicine, menopause, medical aesthetics, and weight management. She is dedicated and passionate about living our best life as we age gracefully in a way that is unique to each individual.

Maki McNeal, RN, BSN
Maki believes everyone’s beauty goals are different and each treatment should be tailored to the specific person. Following years of nursing experience in trauma ED/ICU, she recently discovered her love and passion in aesthetics. From those acute care experiences, her priorities remains the same, “safety and patient advocacy.”

Nora Pene, Receptionist
Nora lives on the Windward Side of beautiful Oʻahu with her two German shepherds. She spends her free time on the beach, running and enjoying water sports. She says as she got older, she sought out the fountain of youth which she found with Dr. Dale and the services of Enhance Hawaiʻi.

Dianarose Tungpalan, Esthetician
Dianarose is an esthetician who specializes in advanced treatments in our clinic. Her favorite area in the beauty industry is in skincare. She loves to train and help others to succeed, whether its to accelerate in life or to improve their skin concerns. She is the owner and founder of Pacific Esthetics Institute Post Secondary School Cosmetology in Esthetics to train aspiring estheticians.
