Our Story
Enhance Hawaiʻi is the next evolution of the Oʻahu aesthetics clinic known as About Face Kailua, which was founded by Dr. Dale Bartolome.
Dr. Dale’s long career took her from Missouri to Washington and eventually back to Hawaiʻi to be closer to her aging mother. With that move came a new chapter and focus on aesthetics and launch of a new clinic - About Face Kailua. The clinic became a place where she helped both men and women feel more confident and comfortable in their own skin through treatments like laser therapy, skin rejuvenation, body contouring, and dermal fillers, all with a warm, personalized approach.
In 2025 Enhance Hawaiʻi launched, incorporating all of the popular services and procedures of About Face Kailua, and adding exciting new offerings like peptides, weight loss treatments, and hormone and health services.
Our Doctors
Dr. Melissa Lawrence
Dr. Melissa Lawrence was born in New Zealand, and raised in Hawaiʻi. She left the islands to study at CU Boulder, before returning to complete her studies at the University of Hawaii Medical School, and her residency at Kapiʻolani Medical Center. Recently retired from Kaiser Permanente as a board certified OBGYN, she has found a new passion, in longevity medicine, menopause, medical aesthetics, and weight management. Dedicated and passionate about living our best life as we age gracefully in a way that is unique to each individual.
Dr. Dale Bartolome
Dr. Dale has had a long and successful career in the medical and aesthetics field. She completed her internship and residency in St. Louis, Missouri. From there, Dr. Bartolome headed to Washington state, where she spent over 30 years doing what she loves most—caring for kids as a pediatrician at Kaiser Permanente. Eventually she returned to Hawaiʻi to start a new chapter in aesthetics.
Dr. LeighAnn Frattarelli
Dr. LeighAnn Frattarelli (MD, MPH, MSCP) is excited to return to providing care to the menopausal and perimenopausal women of Hawaiʻi. She has over 25 years of experience in women’s health and has a particular interest in helping women in mid-life take control of their lives. Dr. Frattarelli’s goal is to empower women to make educated decisions about their health and their quality of life.
